A 4 page research paper/essay that analyzes this work. Shakespeare is a master craftsman at language, as he expertly selects words and phrases that are not only lyrically poetic, but also advance his dramatic aims in terms of characterization and construction of related themes. To illustrate this point, this analysis focuses specifically on the first several acts of "The Tempest," particularly Act III, Scene 1 and addresses Shakespeare's use of irony, figurative speech and diction.
